Route:- Bangalore - NH7 - take left turn to chikabalapur and enter city - take left turn from bus stand and go striaght to kalawarahalli
It was 7 oclock of friday night me and suryanarayan murthy started of our journey to skandagiri from vijaynagar bangalore on pulsar 220 at 8:00 we reached NH7 and it had started drizzling we stopped for the tea on some shop on NH7 at 8:20 rain went worst but tht didnt made us to take u turn and return back , luckily by the time we reached chikkabalapur rain stopped. we stopped in city for tea at 10:15 we reached kalawarahalli village and got a big shock due to dispute between forest department and temple area the forest dept office is closed, some localite suggested us to park bike near guide house and take the guide, guide rates were like bomb he asked us 1200 rs and after long bargain came upto 650rs and told us that some 4 constables have combinely banned night trek but its not official if some cops are encountred on base we have to deal with them luckily we didnt meet any cops.
At 10:45 we started climbing kalawarahalli betta the whole area was filled with silence and slowly slowly we were reaching near heaven in the middle drizzle has started again and we took break near some rock
we waited till rain to vanish and again we started climbing the fog had already coming and clods were looking beautiful we walked through the clouds, after some time we reached one more rest place took some snaps and started climbing up and in 10 minutes we reached peak we were on top of kalawara betta the place was very beautiful we had some snaks and observed that people had littred the place a request to all please keep the nature clean , we roamed aurond the place for some time and enjoyed the scenery.
on top we meet another group of people who were already on peak they were group of some 15 and were mechanical engg students, we rested in a temple another group set the camp fire at 1:30 we had the nap in the temple and got up at 5:10.
as previous day it had rained the sun was wrapped aurond the clouds we didnt enjoyed sunrise properly, we roamed the whole place took some snaps had fun and climed down at 7 am.
